About Fur-Eh!
Fur-Eh! is Western Canada’s Premier anthropomorphic Convention held annually at the Edmonton Inn & Convention Centre in July over four fun-filled days. Originally conceived by Thallanor Rasmuson in 2010, Fur-Eh! held it’s first convention in 2012.
Fur-Eh! features a variety of panels, games, entertainment, dining events and more suitable for attendees of all ages, as well as featuring Canada’s only outdoor fursuit parade (weather permitting of course).
In 2019, Fur-Eh! saw its largest attendance to date with 867 wonderful Guests and 233 fursuiters in the Fur-Eh! Parade! Unfortunately, due to the ongoing global health crises in 2020 and 2021, Fur-Eh! was unable to take place. However, we look forward to welcoming our guests back in 2022 with the theme of “Mardi Paws”, incorporating all the vibrant colours, sounds, tastes, and excitement of the annual event held in New Orleans! Book Your StayArriving at Fur-Eh!
Step 1: Vaccination Check
For those 12 and older, go to our Vax Check line and provide proof of vaccination OR negative rapid COVID-19 test, and obtain a wristband. (Remember self administered tests are not permitted; they must be administered by a pharmacy or other health care provider.).
Accepted for proof of vaccination: Canadian QR codes (printed or on your phone), vaccination record from your local Canadian health authority, US CDC vaccination card, and/or vaccination records provided by your local health authority if you are from outside of the US or Canada. Matching, government-issued photo ID must accompany your vaccination record.
Step 2: Badge Pickup/Registration
Take your wristband and government issued ID to the badge pickup or registration desk. Once you’ve obtained your badge, you may remove your wristband as the badge serves as proof of having completed Step 1.
Pre-Registered? You can pickup your badge and voucher for any items purchased or provided as part of your tier from our Badge Pick Up line located in the main lobby during peak hours. Otherwise you can obtain these items from our Registration Office.
Still need to register for Fur-Eh!? That’s not a problem, we have several registration options available at the con as detailed below. Simply head on over to our Registration Office to complete your registration and obtain your badge.
A reminder that minors age 16-17 must have signed approval from their legal guardian to attend Fur-Eh!, and minors under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a legal guardian. Full details can be found in our Code of Conduct
Step 3: Display Your Badge
Your badge must be displayed at all times while within convention spaces. We provide a lanyard with your badge to assist in this; however, you may use other methods as long as the badge is visible.
Step 4: Obtain Goodies
If you registered at one of our upper tiers, or purchased additional goodies with your registration, you can take the voucher given to you in step 2 to our Con Store to obtain your goodies. The Con Store is located in the Marketplace, which will be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Can’t attend for the full convention? Fur-Eh! offers day passes for those who wish to attend only part of the convention.

Everyone’s part of a Krewe in our standard registration level! You’ll get access to the Convention without any of the fancy extras. Who needs extras to have a good time, right?

Guest of Honour
This year we are proud to welcome NicNak as our Guest of Honour! NicNak will be taking part in several panels and events, we encourage everyone to check them out!
Nicole, more well known to others as ‘Niki’ or ‘Nicnak’, is an illustrator and designer, specializing in character and prop design. She is a Canadian artist, with experience working in the TV animation industry, currently living in Hamilton, Ontario with her partner and rescue cat. She dedicates herself to custom commission work, personal projects, sharing her work on social media sites, and creating all kinds of prints, merchandise, and original artwork for sale at conventions she attends. Nicole’s goal is to travel across Canada and abroad in hopes of attending more conventions, meeting new friendly faces and sharing her work with others.
Charity Partner
Fur-Eh! is excited to announce our new charity partner for 2022, The Greater Edmonton Animals Rescue Society (GEARS). We look forward to working with them and helping to raise funds to support their operations.
The Greater Edmonton Animal Rescue Society (GEARS) was formed in 2013 to help injured, abandoned, unwanted, and homeless animals in the Edmonton area. Compassion motivates us to help, heal, and alleviate the pain of the animals we encounter. GEARS is a non-profit organization that relies on a network of donors, volunteers and foster homes working together to give companion animals a second chance at their forever family. With high standards of practice and charitable status, GEARS sets an example in our community.
