Artists Alley Rules of Conduct

No portion of these Rules of Conduct shall be taken to counteract, rescind, modify, or otherwise interfere with the Official Fur-Eh! Standards of Conduct. All rules of conduct outlined in that document are applicable in Artists Alley, and violation of those Standards may result in removal from Artists Alley.


Artists Alley is for artists to sell their own goods at their own table. Properly register for participation in the Alley, stay at your table, keep your space tidy, and clean up when you leave. Bring only a small amount of stuff. Be nice to your neighbors and customers.

Artist Alley will be a first come- first serve space.

You may apply to have a table each morning at the convention, starting at 10:00 AM, and the cost will be $10.00 in Cash per table spot.

Any attendees found operating in the Artists Alley without having previously registered/checked in will be subject to immediate dismissal from the Alley, and may face further action from convention staff.

Items offered for sale in the Fur-Eh! Artists Alley should be related to the scope of the convention (i.e., anthropomorphic and related fields), or directly related to the convention theme.

All items displayed and sold must be your own work, not mass-produced items from other companies, as this is a spot for artists to take commissions outside of the Dealers Den.

Vendor Age:

All participants in Fur-Eh!’s Artists Alley are required to be at least 18 years of age (the legal age of majority in Alberta), on or prior to, the first day of the convention.

Adult Merchandise:

Artist Alley Vendors are strictly prohibited from displaying, or advertising adult merchandise.

Commissions for adult artwork are done solely at the discretion of the Artist Alley Vendor, and the Vendor is still required to have clients to present a valid government issued ID showing the commissioner is 18+ years of age.

Fur-Eh! Artists Alley staff reserves the right to request an artist make additional efforts to censor material as necessary, up to and including requiring that the artwork be removed from display.

The decision regarding what is and what is not appropriate material for display will be solely the jurisdiction of Artists Alley Staff, and their decision is final.

Public Exposure:

All signs, banners, standing displays, etc. must abide by a strict “PG” or less rating. Any display that may be damaging to Fur-Eh!’s public image is strictly forbidden. Failure to remove offending materials may result in removal from Artists Alley.

Identifying Minors:

Minors will be clearly identified by their alternative membership badges. If you have questions, please contact Artists Alley Staff.

It is solely the responsibility of the Artist to ensure that minors are not permitted to view, handle, commission, or be otherwise exposed to adult materials.

Major Minor Consequences:

Artists who are found to be displaying adult-oriented items in such a fashion that they can be viewed by minors and/or openly by the general public will be afforded a single warning.

Further incidents will result in that artist being removed from the Artists Alley, and subject to possible further administrative action. Please note that in the event of disagreement, the opinion of the Artists Alley Manager as to the suitability (or lack thereof) of wares for general display will be final.

Artists found to be selling adult-oriented materials to minors shall be ejected from Artists Alley.

Height Restrictions:

Items placed on the floor are prohibited, with the exception of the following items:

No Encroaching or Overhanging:

All items must remain in the space provided without encroaching on the spaces to either side of yours, and without hanging over the surface of the table. You may drape a sign in front of your table, but that must be removed at the end of each day.

No shelving or similar storage units are allowed on the table top, with the exception of a wireframe display conforming to the space requirements above for clipping badges or displaying artwork.

Alley space is for Alley artists only. The only people who should be behind Artists Alley tables are artists who have participated in the Artists Alley on-site signup and are approved to be participating in Alley that day.

At no time is it permissible for anyone else to be behind the tables with you without explicit Artists Alley Management approval.

NOTE: This restriction does not apply to service animals or persons requiring special accommodations. If you have questions regarding reasonable accommodations, please contact Artists Alley Staff.

Artists Alley Management retains the right to make decisions on what is/is not considered appropriate usage of Artists Alley.

Acting as an agent for artists, and/or reselling other people’s art is prohibited.

Table Presence:

The table must be occupied by the artist for the entire time the table is assigned to that artist.

We understand that artists, like other attendees, are here to enjoy the convention and need to eat, drink, etc., but we also know that there are often more artists than seats, and so in fairness to those waiting for a seat to open, occupied seats should be as active as possible.

It’s a sign!

If you must leave briefly, please post a sign indicating when you expect to return.

Vacancies exceeding 30-minutes are considered excessive, and will be considered a forfeit of your seat for the day.

All displays and display items must be completely taken down from the Artist Alley at the end of the vending hours each day or these items will be removed by Fur-Eh! Staff.

Fur-Eh! will not be held responsible for items left on tables past the allotted Artist Alley vending hours.
